Why Unlock A Handset ?
When a mobile phone is purchased either on pay as you go or contract, the network provider will lock the handset to their service. This means the handset will not work on other networks. ( Vodafone, Orange, O2, Virgin, T-Mobile ect. Thats why we offer this simple service to unlock your mobile phone from the network providers.
Example of a locked mobile phone !
If you purchased a 6280 on the Orange network pay as you go you would not be able to use a Vodafone sim card in the mobile phone. Even if you did place a sim card in the handset from another network you would normally get the message “SIM REJECTED” or “Please Insert Correct Sim”. Please note that different mobile phones state different messages so please contact us if you are unsure
If you are unsure if your phone is locked or unlocked then please contact us.
Other Benefits Of Unlocking A Mobile Phone:
- If you do travel to different countries you will be able to use their networks too.
- You may find you can get cheaper calls on other networks from the one you use.
- Different network providers have more network coverage than others, so you are able to change the sim card when the reception is poor.
How Do I Know If The Handset Is Already Unlocked ?
This is very easy. Simply try a friends sim card from another network in the handset. If you don’t get the error message your phone is already unlocked.
